SeasonalityAdults collected May to September. IdentificationMember of the ventricosus group, (subgenus Cryobius.) Black, upper surface without metallic lustre, elytra not iridescent; palpi, antennae and legs rufous. Prothorax very convex with strongly rounded sides and short basal sinuation, front-angles very little prominent, hind-angles right or slightly obtuse, usually denticulate. Lateral bead rather coarse basally, elytra with small shoulder tooth and usually only 2 dorsal punctures.
