IdentificationThis common species is one of the hardest to identify, it is similar to many other species of Chrysobothris. The beetles are black with a brassy to greenish lustre. Callosities on the front of the head are conspicuous to reduced by the coarse punctures, the front of the head is brassy green to coppery with green along the inner edge of the eye. Each elytron has 4 costa, the first is distinct, the others, are interrupted by the foveae.
