IdentificationThis species of Chrysobothris is quite easy to recognize. The pronotum is more or less evenly punctate with out obvious callosities. The elytra have 4 distinct longitudinal costa. Costae 2 and 3 are interrupted by a shallow slightly bronzed to golden coloured fovea. The last ventral sternite on the female is almost straight across, and has a medial longitudinal carina (ridge). The carina on the male is not as pronounced.
