Translation of the Chinese text: "Winter court robe chaopaothe first style, for the Empress Dowager and Empress./In accordance with the decree of the present dynasty:/The winter robes of the Emperess Dowager and Empress are in bright-yellow colour, with azurite-blue coloured sleeves and draped collar that have golden bands trimmed with sable fur. Also, at the joint places of the sleeves and shoulders are decorated with trimming, just like [the trimming on] the court vest. The embroidery patterns [on the robe] ...
