Translation of the Chinese text: "Summer court robe chaopao, the second style for the Empress Dowager and the Empress./In accordance with the decree of the present dynasty:/The summer robe of the Empress Dowager and Empress are bright yellow in colour and trimmed with golden bands. The middle of [the robe] has no pleats[text continued onto left leaf, 2004.19.1.1.12]"
