Very sheer black chiffon dress figured with orange and yellow flowers. Tubular cut bodice and handkerchief hemline. Long narrow sleeves tapered to wrist where rectangular insert adds fullness that droops over back of hand. Black satin ribbon tie at wrist. 4 10cm pintucks at front shoulder. V neckline in front and scooped at back, bound with bias tape. Tubular bodice with slight curve at waist. Dropped waistline. Pleated skirt with handkerchief hemline. 12 pointed skirt created from 3 cut squares sewn together at side seams. uneven upper points of skirt at hipline have been curved and topstitched to bodice. Bottom edge of skirt is picoted. Straight black crepe slip is worn under dress.
