There is evidence of prehistoric occupation in caribou trails and blowouts. Two pits were excavated by Forbis, covering a total of 140.21m (460 feet). The pits centered around a large quartzited boulder named Supply Rock, which is the source of most of the lithic tools recovered here. Archaeological remains include microliths, hearths, projectile points and a bifacial knife. This is the type site for the Acasta Lake type complex.
