Site TypecaveDescriptionLocated approximately 1.609km west of Smith Creek Cave on the south side of Smith Creek Canyon (SE 16, T 17 N, R 70 E). It lies at an elevation of approximately 2133.6m asl and 213.36m above the valley floor. The mouth of the cave faces north. During the 1971 excavation, Bryan and his team established three 4x3m test pits and a 2 meter square test pit (Number 4) in various relatively undisturbed areas. Due to the rarity of artifacts, it is believed that the cave was never a permanent occupation, but only used temporarily and sporadically. Archaeological finds include part of a woven basket, an arrow-head, corn cobs and kernels two atlatls.
