DescriptionFrom the original 1969 registration ledger: Glass Butte Fan Site, Oregon. Obsidian blades, cores, and biface were found in an area circa 4.5m (15ft) in diameter near turn-in at Glass Butte Fan Site at the base of a small basalt bluff. Research has turned up no location called Glass Butte Fan Site, and it has not been possible to establish its location in Oregon, because there is a Glass Butte Peak, a Little Glass Butte Peak, a Looking Glass Peak, a North Glass Butte Reservoi, a North Glass Butte Reservoir Number Two, as well as a Glass Butte obsidian quarry in south central Oregon.
