Site TypequarryDescriptionLocated on the undulating summit of a prominent spur of the Blue Mountains. The spur divides the Power River and the Grande Ronde River. This area has been used as both occupation and a travel route. The site consists of rounded nodules and flat slabs of fine-grained glassy basalt as well as chipping detritus. One habitation site was also located in the area, at the confluence of Ladd Creek and a small stream on the Stockhoff property. Obsidian points were found in the vicinity of habitation, and some obsidian and one jasper flake were found in a single test pit elsewhere on the property.
