Site TypehabitationDescriptionLake Texcoco is separated by a range of hills from the northwest arm of the drained lake where Mexico City is located and the western shore of these hills makes an inward curve. Ticoman is on one end of this curve, and Zacatenco is in the middle. The Ticoman site is at the western edge of the modern day town of Ticoman on a steep and rocky peninsula projecting into the lake from the hills, which are part of the lower slops of El Chiquihuite mountain. The Spanish colonial aqueduct passes just south of this peninsula.
