A large site covering the top of a quartzite knoll of approximately 10 hectares, east of highway 6. In addition to being a quarry, this was a habitation site. In the site's early stages, after the retreat of the Laurentide Ice Sheet, it was open woodland vegetation (spruce and herb), improving to pine and then varying between the two different vegetation types with Holocene climate changes. The site is associated with an ancient beach margin.
