Zacualpa is located approximately 2km east of the modern town of Zacualpa in the Quiche department, on the floor of the La Vega Valley. The La Vega river is a main tributary of the Rio Grande, flowing south and east. The ruins of Zacualpa fall into 3 main groups, A through C, with several additional isolated mounds. Group B lies west of Group A by approximately 560m. Group C is located approximately 300m southeast of Group B and 310m southwest of Groupd A. Remains include tombs, pottery, stone and metal artifacts. National Grid Map location number 272618.
