Habitat
Pale yellow to white sand, usually on sand dunes, with no vegetation or other cover present.
Seasonality
Adults of this species have been collected from June through August.
Identification
Adults of this species are the palest tiger beetles in Alberta and have obscure markings on the elytra and pale legs offering them excellent cryptic protection on pale sand.
Life History
Members of this summer species take two years to complete their life cycle.
Conservation
This species is rare in Alberta, and is on the ANHIC tracking list.

Range
The range of this species extends over most of central to eastern United States and southern Canada. This species is found only near the Alberta-Saskatchewan border in the southern fifth of Alberta.
