Scientific Name Neoscutopterus angustus Notes

There are two species of Neoscutopterus reported from Alberta, Neoscutopterus hornii (Crotch) and Neoscutopterus angustus (LeConte), the photo specimen. According to Larson (1975), page 384, adult Neoscutopterus are associated with Sphagnum moss in cold waters of bogs.
