Black upper surface with metallic reflection normally green sometimes blue or purple on thorax, elytra with more brass color; mouthparts somewhat paler, 3 basal antennal segments bright reddish; legs varying from piceous black to rufous. Prothorax without lateral bead, broadly explanate towards the rounded hind angles, sides not at all sinuate behind; outer lateral-basal fovea small, round, not clearly delimited laterally. Elytra with deep, finely punctate to almost smooth striae, three to four, possibly five dorsal punctures usually in asymmetric position. Length 9 to 14 mm.
