Life History Larvae are twig mimics, and are very similar to those of P. phlogosaria. Pupae overwinter (Wagner et al. 2001). Adults come to light, and may also be active during the day. This species is rare in Alberta. Conservation Rare and local in Alberta, but widespread to the east. Diet Info Prentice (1963) indicates that larvae feed primarily on birch (Betula spp.). Range East-central Alberta east to Nova Scotia, south to Georgia and Illinois (McGuffin 1987).
