SeasonalityFound through May to September. IdentificationWorkers are ~4.5-6.0 mm in length, with a red head and thorax with a black gaster (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963). The occipital border of the head is heavily concave, the lower edge of the pronotum and fore coxae have long erect hairs and the gaster has hair on all segments (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963).

Workers are ~4.5-6.0 mm in length, with a red head and thorax with a black gaster (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963). The occipital border of the head is heavily concave, the lower edge of the pronotum and fore coxae have long erect hairs and the gaster has hair on all segments (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963).
Life History Not known. Conservation Not of concern. Diet Info Omnivorous, but predate heavily on insects; will also farm aphids. Range A rare species that is distributed from New Mexico to Alberta and Colorado to North Dakota (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963).
