SeasonalityFound through May to September. IdentificationWorkers are ~3.0-6.0 mm in length, with a yellowish red head, dark brown gaster ad lighter thorax (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963). Metasternunum of this species has pilose lobes on either side of the median sternal cavity (Francoeur, 1973), is lacking erect hairs on the gula and scape (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1977).

Workers are ~3.0-6.0 mm in length, with a yellowish red head, dark brown gaster ad lighter thorax (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963). Metasternunum of this species has pilose lobes on either side of the median sternal cavity (Francoeur, 1973), is lacking erect hairs on the gula and scape (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1977).
Life History Not known. Conservation Not of concern. Diet Info Omnivorous but are also above ground aphid farmers. Range Found throughout much of western North America, and only extend as far east as North Dakota (Wheeler and Wheeler, 1963).
