Thalassotrechus barbarae. (Class Insecta). Coleoptera: Carabidae. Northern California to Baja California. Length = 5 - 7 mm. Habitat: Rock crevices in the high intertidal zone. The predaceous adults spend the night ouside the crevices where they feed on stranded zooplankton, fly larvae, and small worms (oligochaetes). From: W. G. EVANS, 1980.
