SeasonalityUndocumented. IdentificationBody varies around 3.1mm in length and is light yellowish brown, with a slightly darker head. Antennae are yellowish white in the basal three segments, segment 3 is lightly coloured with brown basally and apically. Antennal segment 4 is light brown, and segments 5 to 8 are black. The head is longer than broad, the cheeks are swollen and form a collar set with a few expanded bristles. The antennae are 8 segmented, and segments 3 and 4 each have 2 sense cones. Ocelli are absent, and the postocular setae are short and brown. The mouth cone is short. The pronotum is orbicular, and the pterothorax is weak. The mesonotum is depressed, lacks strong bristles, and the metanotum is elevated medially. Both males and females are apterous. The foretarsi have a small, slightly recurved tooth. The abdomen is heavy, and all major bristles on segment 9 are blunt. The tube is short and slightly swollen basally (Cott, 1956).
