SeasonalityUndocumented. IdentificationThe head and abdomen are blackish brown, the prothorax, and legs are yellow (Mound, 1974). The terminal antennal segments go from brownish yellow to brown. The head is slightly longer than broad, and the antennae attach to the head, in front of the foremargin of the eyes (Thomasson and Post, 1966). Antennal segments 3 and 4 both have 2 sense cones (Mound, 1974). The pronotum is smooth and all the major setae are present. The anteromarginal setae are greatly reduced, and the metanotum is smooth. The abdomen is large and heavy, and the pelta is large and mound shaped (Thomasson and Post, 1966).

Life History Undocumented. Conservation Undocumented. Diet Info Fungal spores (Moritz et al., 2001). Range Widespread through Central and South Eastern Europe (Mound, 1974), and in the northern parts of North America (Stannard, 1957).
