IdentificationThe body is usually dark brown in colour (Mound and Kibby, 1998), though there is a yellow form in which the thorax, abdominal segment 1, and the legs are yellow (Heming). This species is wingless, with 8-segmented antennae. It is differentiated from the one other species in this genus by the 7-lobed sternal craspedum (Mound and Kibby, 1998).
