SeasonalitySpring and summer (in Illinois) (Stannard, 1968). IdentificationThe body is dark brown with red subintegumental pigments, and the head is not prolonged in front of the eyes. Antennal segment 3 and the basal third of segment 4 are yellow or white, and segments 3 and 4 are elongate (Stannard, 1968). Forewings each have 2 cross bands that are connected by a longitudinal band in the posterior margin of the wing (Bailey, 1951).

Life History Undocumented. Conservation Undocumented. Diet Info This species feeds on thrips and mites (Chiasson, 1986). Range Alberta, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, B.C., and throughout the US (Chiasson, 1986). It was introduced from Europe (Stannard, 1968).
