SeasonalityAdults collected in June, July, and August. IdentificationAdult members of this genus are dark and usually unicolorous (Mound and Marullo, 1996). Antennae are 9 segmented, and sensoria on segments 3 and 4 are linear. The compound eyes are prolonged ventrally, the maxillary palps are 3 segmented, and the labial palps are 4 segmented (Mound and Kibby, 1998). Both head and pronotum lack long setae (Mound and Marullo, 1996). Forewings are banded with 2 longitudinal and 3 cross veins (Heming). Abdomen is constricted at the base, and sternite 7 has two pairs of sub-marginal accessory setae (Mound and Marullo, 1996). In males tergite 1 is narrow, with 2 longitudinal ridges (Mound and Marullo, 1996), and no genital claspers are present (Stannard, 1968).
