SeasonalityAdult collected in July. IdentificationThe body is bi-coloured, with the prothorax at least partially yellow or white, and the abdomen uniformly dark. Antennal segment 6 is not pedicellate, and is broadly joined to segment 5. The pronotum has a blotch that is entirely brown, or has brown markings in it, and may be outlined with yellow. The pronotum has transverse striations that may be widely separated in front of the blotch. This species is macropterous. The forewings lack setae behind the main wing veins. Males may lack glandular areas on the abdominal sternites, or they may be present on sternite 7 (Stannard, 1968).
