SeasonalityAdults fly form early June to mid-August. IdentificationAdult antennae are brown with darker scapes. Vertex of the head is deep red-brown, flat and evenly covered with large bumps. Spurs are yellow. Forewings are grey-brown to almost black, in a mixture of solid blocks of colours. In males, the forewing disto-posterior edge is sinuate. The clasper is massive with a full base. The dorsal edge with single teeth at each end (Nimmo, 1971).

Life History Annual? Conservation Common. Diet Info No information available. Range This species range extends from Alaska, south to Colorado and east to Newfoundland. In Alberta, it occurs in the plains region (Nimmo, 1971).
