SeasonalityAdults fly form early July to early October. IdentificationAdult antennae are pale yellow and the vertex of the head is brown-yellow with paler warts. Forewings are orange-brown with the clear areas, hyaline. In males, the cercus is long, curved, and uniform in width and projected posterad of all other structures. Mesal facie has a black tooth (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are pale yellow and the vertex of the head is brown-yellow with paler warts. Forewings are orange-brown with the clear areas, hyaline. In males, the cercus is long, curved, and uniform in width and projected posterad of all other structures. Mesal facie has a black tooth (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Common. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range This species range extends from British Columbia and Alberta, south to Idaho, New Hampshire and east to Quebec. In Alberta, it occurs in the passes, low mountain valleys and foothills (Nimmo, 1971).
