SeasonalityAdults fly from late June to late August. IdentificationAdult antennae are dark brown with chocolate-brown scapes. The vertex of the head is dark brown. Spurs are yellow. Forewings are chocolate-brown. In males, the clasper base and dorsal process are long, narrow and almost linear. Cercus is hemi-elliptical in outline (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are dark brown with chocolate-brown scapes. The vertex of the head is dark brown. Spurs are yellow. Forewings are chocolate-brown. In males, the clasper base and dorsal process are long, narrow and almost linear. Cercus is hemi-elliptical in outline (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Not common. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range The range for this species extends from Alaska, south to California and Colorado. In Alberta, it is mainly restricted to the plains and low mountain valleys (Nimmo, 1971).
