SeasonalityAdults fly from early July to late September. IdentificationAdult antennae are brown with lighter scapes. Vertex of the head is dark brown lightening laterally. Adult antennae are brown with lighter scapes. Vertex of the head is dark brown lightening laterally. Spurs re very long and are yellow-brown. Forewings are light yellow-brown with darker areas. In males, the clasper is a sinuate, inverted acute triangle (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Very common. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range This species is transcontinental in distribution, extending from Great Slave Lake to Wisconsin, New Mexico and California. In Alberta, it occurs mostly in the plains and foothills (Nimmo, 1971).
