SeasonalityOnly one Alberta record, July 20. IdentificationAdult antennae are yellow-brown and the vertex of the head is deep red-brown. Forewings are reddish brown, partly irrorate, with large hyaline areas. In males, the cercus is massive, curve, uniform in width and the distal edge is linear along the curve radius. Segment 10 processes are very short, black and completely obscured by the cercus (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are yellow-brown and the vertex of the head is deep red-brown. Forewings are reddish brown, partly irrorate, with large hyaline areas. In males, the cercus is massive, curve, uniform in width and the distal edge is linear along the curve radius. Segment 10 processes are very short, black and completely obscured by the cercus (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Rare. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range This specie is Holarctic in distribution, extending from Yukon, and south to Colorado, Illinois and Newfoundland. In Alberta, it has been collected in the Banff area (Nimmo, 1971).
