SeasonalityAdults are flying from early August to late September. IdentificationAdult antennae are dark brown with black scapes and pedicels. Forewings are pale brownish yellow and the costal area is clear. In males, the cercus is trapezoidal in shape. There is a distinct, acuminate, black tooth at the disto-mesal angel (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are dark brown with black scapes and pedicels. Forewings are pale brownish yellow and the costal area is clear. In males, the cercus is trapezoidal in shape. There is a distinct, acuminate, black tooth at the disto-mesal angel (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Common. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range This is a Holarctic distribution, extending from Alaska to Hudson Bay and Colorado. In Alberta, it occurs in the mountains and foothills (Nimmo, 1971).
