SeasonalityAdults fly from late August to late September. IdentificationAdult antennae are dark brown, males have black scapes and females have pale yellow scapes. Vertex of the head is black with paler warts. Spurs are yellow. Forewings are pale brown, anterior half of wing clear, and posterior half is irrorate. In males, the clasper is massive with a black tooth on the dorsal surface. The cercus is massive with a black tooth on the extremity of mesal face (Nimmo, 1971).

Forewings are pale brown, anterior half of wing clear, and posterior half is irrorate. In males, the clasper is massive with a black tooth on the dorsal surface. The cercus is massive with a black tooth on the extremity of mesal face (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Not common. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range This species ranges extends from Alaska, south to Alberta and Manitoba. In Alberta is confined to low mountain and foothill valleys (Nimmo, 1971).
