SeasonalityAdults fly from mid-July to mid-September. IdentificationAdult antennae are dark brown with light brown scapes. Vertex of the head is dark brown and the spurs are yellow. Forewings are medium brown. In males, the cercus is long, straight and longer than segment 10 processes. The processes appear partly over the dorsal edge of the cercus (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are dark brown with light brown scapes. Vertex of the head is dark brown and the spurs are yellow. Forewings are medium brown. In males, the cercus is long, straight and longer than segment 10 processes. The processes appear partly over the dorsal edge of the cercus (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Relatively common. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range The range extends from British Columbia and Utah, east to Greenland and Newfoundland. In Alberta, it is mainly confined to the mountains (Nimmo, 1971).
