SeasonalityAdults fly from early June to mid-August. IdentificationAdult antennae are dark brown with darker scapes. The vertex of ht head dark brown fading laterally to brownish yellow. Spurs are yellow to brown. In males, the processes on segment 10 are very short, black and presenting flat faces posterad. The clasper has a full base and there is a black on the dorsal surface near extremity (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are dark brown with darker scapes. The vertex of ht head dark brown fading laterally to brownish yellow. Spurs are yellow to brown. In males, the processes on segment 10 are very short, black and presenting flat faces posterad. The clasper has a full base and there is a black on the dorsal surface near extremity (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual? Conservation Uncommon. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range The range extends from Alberta, east to Maine. In Alberta, this species is mainly in the plains and low foothills (Nimmo, 1971).
