Adult antennae are yellow-brown and the vertex of the head is deep red-brown. Forewings are light chocolate brown, irrorate with larger hyaline areas. In males, the clasper is without a ventral base but has a tiny dorsal base. The distal edge of the cercus is roundly incised (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Annual. Females will oviposition in August/September. Larvae overwinter as a final instar. Conservation Uncommon. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores. Range This species range extends from British Columbia and Alberta, south to Utah. In Alberta, it is known from the lower major valleys near the continental divide (Nimmo, 1971).
