SeasonalityAdults are found from late July to late August. IdentificationAdult antennae are clothed with black hairs and overall dark brown in colour. The vertex of the head is brown, except for a narrow area mesad of the compound eyes. Spurs are reddish yellow. Forewings are red-brown, irrorate with a few clear areas. In males, segment 10 is minute and unobscured by the cercus. The cercus has a massive, black ventral tooth (Nimmo, 1971).

Life History Annual? Conservation Common. Diet Info No information available. Range The known range extends from Great Slave Lake, south to Idaho. In Alberta, this species is mainly confined to the alpine areas (Nimmo, 1971).
