SeasonalityAdults fly from late June to late September. IdentificationAdult antennae are dark brown to dark, reddish brown. The vertex of the head is dark brown to black and the spurs are red-brown. Forewings are grey-brown with large hyaline areas. In males, the clasper is shaped like an inverted triangle. The dorsum of segment 9 is developed posterad as a massive shelf, dorsad of the cercus and segment 10 processes (Nimmo, 1971).

Life History Annual? Conservation Common. Diet Info No information available. Range The range of this species extends from British Columbia, east to Newfoundland. In Alberta, it is known from the mountains, foothills and the forested plains, near Edmonton and Hay River (Nimmo, 1971).
