SeasonalityAdults fly from early May to late June. IdentificationAdult antennae are dark brown to black and the vertex of the head black. Spur formula is 1, 2, 4 and brown. In males, the cercus is slender and deeply bifurcate. The dorsal lobe is longer and thicker than the ventral lobe. The clasper is long, slender and relatively uniform in width (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are dark brown to black and the vertex of the head black. Spur formula is 1, 2, 4 and brown. In males, the cercus is slender and deeply bifurcate. The dorsal lobe is longer and thicker than the ventral lobe. The clasper is long, slender and relatively uniform in width (Nimmo, 1971).
Diet Info Larvae graze for algae and diatoms from rocks. Range This species is only known from the Banff area in Alberta and Vancouver Island British Columbia (Nimmo, 1971).
