SeasonalityOnly Alberta record is on May 30. IdentificationAdult antennae are chocolate-brown and the vertex of the head dark chocolate with reddish tinges laterally. Spurs are brown. Forewings are dull red-brown with hyaline areas along the veins. In males, the clasper basal article is ventrally indented. The distal article is deeply bifurcate and lobes divergent (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are chocolate-brown and the vertex of the head dark chocolate with reddish tinges laterally. Spurs are brown. Forewings are dull red-brown with hyaline areas along the veins. In males, the clasper basal article is ventrally indented. The distal article is deeply bifurcate and lobes divergent (Nimmo, 1971).
Life History Biannual? Conservation Rare? Diet Info Larvae graze algae from rocks. Range The range extends from Alaska, south to Washington and Colorado. There is only one record in Alberta, several miles southwest of Banff (Nimmo, 1971).
