SeasonalityAdults fly from mid-May to late June. IdentificationAdults antennae are brownish black and the vertex of the head black. Spur formula is 1, 3, 3. In males, the clasper distal segment is tri-lobed. The dorso-lateral lobe is deeply cleft longitudinally (Nimmo, 1977).

Scientific Name Allomyia thomasi Habitat Sub-alpine steams with gravel or small boulder bottoms (Nimmo, 1977). Seasonality Adults fly from mid-May to late June. Identification Adults antennae are brownish black and the vertex of the head black. Spur formula is 1, 3, 3. In males, the clasper distal segment is tri-lobed. The dorso-lateral lobe is deeply cleft longitudinally (Nimmo, 1977). Conservation Only three specimens collected, relatively rare. Diet Info No information available. Range There have been three specimens collected of this species, in Alberta only. The localities are in mountainous country, close to alpine regions in altitude (Nimmo, 1977).
