SeasonalityAdults fly from mid-July to mid-August. IdentificationAdult antennae are light yellow-brown and the vertex of the head brown, bordered with yellow. Forewings are light red or yellowish brown and uniformly irrorate. In males, the cercus is large, broad and rounded. The clasper is simple without a median lobe (Nimmo, 1971).

Adult antennae are light yellow-brown and the vertex of the head brown, bordered with yellow. Forewings are light red or yellowish brown and uniformly irrorate. In males, the cercus is large, broad and rounded. The clasper is simple without a median lobe (Nimmo, 1971).
Conservation Common. Diet Info Larvae are detritovores, feeding on vascular plants and fine organic particles (Wiggins, 1996). Range This species range extends from Alberta and British Columbia, south to Oregon and Colorado. In Alberta, it is confined to the mountains and foothills (Nimmo, 1971).
