SeasonalityUndocumented IdentificationThe body is brown, with antennal segment 3 and the bases of segments 4 to 6 bright yellow. The head is longer than broad with a pronounced vertex and small eyes. Antennal segment 3 has 1 sense cone, and the postocular setae are blunt and about two-thirds the length of the eye. All major pronotal setae are present and well developed. Forewings have white apical fringe cilia, though other fringe hairs are black. The metanotum is longitudinally striate (Thomasson and Post 1966). Mound and Marullo (1996) place this species in the genus Leptothrips Hood.
