Forewings uniformly medium brown but ranging from ochraceous fawn to dark brown; transverse lines lacking, except occasionally a trace of a subterminal one; terminal line with 3-4 dark dots. Hind wings smoky gray to dark brown. In the male genitalia, the cucullus narrows abruptly and caudad of the base of the free arm of the costa is very narrow and tapers little (Klots 1942). All other Pediasia are lighter in color and usually slightly larger.
