Life History The black larvae have grey or brown stripes and orange spines (Layberry et al. 1998). Unlike most other Alberta Speyeria, atlantis is a species of moist, mixed forest habitats. Conservation Not of concern. Diet Info The larval hosts of Atlantis are unconfirmed, but are believed to be violets (Layberry et al. 1998). Adults nectar at thistle and fireweed (Hooper 1973). Range Newfoundland west to BC (Layberry et al. 1998)
