Habitat
Dry open sandy areas of grasslands; also on prairie sand dunes and boreal forest sand ridges.
Seasonality
These beetles have been collected from April through August, and are also expected in September.
Identification
Adults of this species appear similar to those of Cicindela formosa but are distuinguished by their smaller size, and long, straight humeral lunule.
Life History
These beetles may take up to three years to complete larval development. Adults overwinter.
Conservation
This species is moderatley rare in Alberta.
