Common NameParthenice Tiger
SeasonalityPeak activity from mid July to early August.
IdentificationSimilar to G. virgo, but lacking the black spot in the middle of the hindwing. The transverse median band of the forewing is usually broader than in virgo. Parthenice is also slightly smaller overall.

Found throughout the parkland and the mixed boreal forest, especially in open grassy areas.
