Common NameParthenice Tiger SeasonalityPeak activity from mid July to early August. IdentificationSimilar to G. virgo, but lacking the black spot in the middle of the hindwing. The transverse median band of the forewing is usually broader than in virgo. Parthenice is also slightly smaller overall.

Range Newfoundland west to Vancouver Island, B.C., south to Florida and New Mexico.
