Habitat
Confined to alkaline lakes and ponds; near margin on bare mud or depressed mats of grass.

This species has been collected from May to July.

Life History
Probably overwinters in the adult stage.
Conservation
Relatively common.
Diet Info
Both larvae and adults are predatory.
Range
This species is found in the western half of United States and Canada (including Ontario). In Alberta this species is found in the southern half.
