Life History There is a partial second brood in August in some years, especially in the southern part of the range (Byers, 1988). The adults of this species are apparently strictly diurnal, flying in the afternoon and early evening. Diet Info Larvae feed on various grasses (including spring cereal crops) in early spring, and are occasionally pests in native range pastures (Byers, 1988). Range Manitoba west to Alberta, south to Arizona and New Mexico.
